The Venice Museum

"The beautiful and chaotic Venice Museum hostel was our first introduction to Italy. Despite the unorganized staff, they manage to serve free breakfast and dinner daily. The house that the hostel is in has huge arching stair cases and vaulted ceilings with chandeliers. There are cherubs in the moulding and murals of Venetian landscapes painted on the walls. Of course, there are also twelve bunk beds shoved in the room -- but still, it's very romantic. "

I was not so diligent about keeping my journal updated while I was in Venice. The Venice Museum staff complained about their electricity bill, and it looked like they had unscrewed a few of the light bulbs (or just neglected to replace them), so it was hard to write, since it was dark all the time.
